The Christmas excitement is tangible at our house…and a little bit distracting! It’s hard to stick to traditional lessons, and I know many homeschool families take a lengthy break this time of year. We will be schooling through mid-December—but I like to add in special activities that incorporate the wonder and beauty of Christmas. Homeschooling is a way of life—and right now our lives are centered around Christmas! It only makes sense to allow that joy into our homeschool lessons!

I’ve created Christmas copywork pages to help kids not only practice writing, grammar, and penmanship…but also focus their hearts on Christ and the true meaning of the season! (The bible verses I’ve selected would be excellent choices for memory verses!) For more lengthy verses, I’ve created separate pages for younger kids with shortened versions of the original verses. The simplified bible verses were taught to my children in Sunday school and at Community Bible Study (CBS)—all other bible passages have been taken from the NIV bible.
In addition to my favorite Christmas bible verses, I’ve included favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss’s, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Charles Dickens’s, A Christmas Carol, and Clement Moore’s, The Night Before Christmas. Each copywork page also includes coloring—another way to keep hearts, minds, and hands busy and focused!
